Diatomaceous earth ( , DE), diatomite or kieselgur/kieselguhr is a naturally occurring, soft, siliceous sedimentary rock that is easily crumbled into a fine white to off-white powder. It has a particle size ranging from less than 3 μm to more than 1 mm, but typically 10 to 200 μm. Diatomaceous Earth Powder Food Grade is a natural product made from the fossilized remains of diatoms. It is commonly used as a natural insecticide, as it is effective in killing pests such as ants, bed bugs, and fleas. Additionally, it can be used as a dietary supplement for humans and animals, as it is rich in silica and other minerals. It is also used in water filtration systems and as a polishing agent in toothpaste and metal polishes.
