PHOSPHORUS ACID

Phosphorus oxoacid is a generic name for any acid whose molecule consists of atoms of phosphorus, oxygen, and hydrogen. There is a potentially infinite number of such compounds. Phosphorus acid is a colorless, crystalline solid that is commonly used as a reducing agent, a chemical intermediate, and a fungicide. It is also used in the production of phosphates, flame retardants, and water treatment chemicals. In agriculture, it is used as a foliar spray to prevent and control fungal diseases in crops. Additionally, it is used in the electronics industry as a cleaning agent for semiconductor materials.
